Looooooong 7 hr. plane ride.................

In the Lihue airport right after we arrived. Ben was on daddy's back in the babypack & Tyger was in the restroom.

Us getting on the plane. Sean got on with the other kids and Ben and I stayed out until the last minute. We dosed him up with Benadryl and he was out cold about 2 minutes after this pic was taken. He did really good. He was pretty much groggy for the entire flight except the last 30 minutes and then he was ready to get off!

We never heard a peep out of Tyger. He was so good. We packed all the kids backpacks with tons of snacks and crayons and paper and silly putty.........He had all his snacks gone in the first 30 minutes. too cute!

Benny's St. Patty's Day 1st Birthday Party...

First of all, these 5 little photos took 15 minutes to download or upload...whatever it's called. We brought Sean's old laptop and it is soooo slow. I was going to try and post more, but don't have the patience. We are having SOOOO much fun here in Kauai. I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday. All of us were trying to talk daddy into staying another week, but it didn't work. The weather is perfect, water delightful and family wonderful. I have only taken about 500 pics so far (literally). So I have plenty to choose from to show you all. Maybe I will try tomorrow. I leave you with a couple pics of Benj. Hello!!! I'm all dressed in green for my party...where's everybody at?

Today is my dear dad's birthday. I was going to post the poem I wrote for him on his 50th b-day, but that would mean that I would actually have to watch the video of his party so that I could write it down. Well, since I've pretty much had an emotional breakdown today, I don't think I will be watching that video...............maybe tomorrow.

12 DAYS.....

FAMILY FUN IN THE SNOW...

Sean has a friend named John, who is a ski instructor on the weekends up at Snowbowl. He offered to give the kids lessons this last Saturday. The kids didn't catch on too easily (not for lack of instruction... John is a good instructor and I have to admit, I was secretly taking in all that he was saying for MYSELF). Hudson did pretty good, but got going really fast and then fell and he was too scared to try any further. The slopes were pretty icy. UUUGH...I guess they take after their mommy. The first time I went was in High School with my brother and I never caught on the whole day. PATHETIC! Anyhow, Sean got some good skiing in with his buddy for awhile and the kids played in the snow. I went up with them a few times and then proceeded to face-plant in the mud at the bottom of the hill, which pretty much ended my day. It never fails that I ALWAYS embarrass myself, SOMEHOW!!! Why do I always leave somewhere with a STORY of making myself look stupid?@#$%^&* OH Well, my life of clumsy stupidity gives me lots of interesting stories to tell. Here are a few pics. I have more of us on the slopes that I took with another camera that need to be put on disk. I'll post them later...

HAIRCUTS....

Hudson wants to grow his hair out. He swears if we just let him grow it out, it will be curly like Ben's. PROBLEM- he has board straight Indian hair, that grows straight out, like he stuck his finger in a light socket, JUST LIKE DADDY. I told him he could grow it out until we got back from Hawaii. Well daddy was not having it and took both boys to the barber after church yesterday. Didn't get an after shot, but he looks 100 x better. Daddy takes the boys and himself every 3 weeks to the barber, at $22 a person. WHAT??? CRAZY!!! Yesterday I told him we must invest in a nice razor set, so I can start doing it for them. So from here on out, NO MORE BARBER. Can you imagine all the other things I could get for $66 a month. LET'S THINK!?@#$
MISS LAINEY LOU LOU, doing her homework. I will be cutting about 5 inches off this hairdo today. It's getting quite stringy. She want to get it cut into a bob, but daddy says no. ANY OPINIONS? (leave comment)

If You're Scared Of A Little Poo, Don't Read On......

This is Ben cracking himself up, that I actually had to drain the tub to clean out the treat he left and then refill to finish the bath. Little Crazy Boy!

Thursday....

Everyone home from school. Lainey started puking last night around 8pm. Now there's just me and Tyger left. I'm hoping this just skips us of course. Everyone seems to be fine tonight, so off to school tomorrow. Oh yeah, Libby got sick this morning too. OOPS! We had Libby and Colt spend the night Sunday. Sorry Guys!

And YES, FINALLY our family sickness has returned...I knew it wouldn't be long...

Monday- Ben -throwing up & diarrhea (YUM! Such a lovely word...diarrhea, diarrhea, diarrhea!)

Tuesday-Ben - same thing as yesterday and daddy worked from 6am until 10pm then woke about 12am with same thing as Ben, but MUCH worse. OOOOOOH!

Wednesday - Ben - same thing, Sean - same thing. Take the kids to school, come home, get ready to go to Walmart and get Sean some stomach flu medicine. At 10am, get half way down the hill and the school nurse calls to tell me that Hud is complaining that his stomach hurts. I tell them I'll be there as soon as I can. When I get there, Lainey is also in the office complaining of an ear ache. I load them all up in the car, but not before Hud pukes beside the car (which I kick rocks over) and we all head home for the SICK INFESTED house. Everyone lays down to enjoy some good ole Disney channel while I Clorox the bathrooms and Ben's toys. I was feeling okay until I started writing this and noticed I have bleach on my BRAND NEW shirt. UUUUGH!

Thursday- TO BE CONTINUED...

My last post was a WHOLE post, with no Ben...so this is a WHOLE post of Ben....

No, it wasn't cold in the room. this is how he always sleeps. Couldn't pass up this sweet sight. He is such a sleeper... 2 long naps every day and sleeps from 7:30pm to 7:30 am and he just goes to sleep when I put him in his crib. I AM TOTALLY SPOILED with this napping child.
Love the feet...SO PERFECT!
OKAY- You know you've lost your mind when you completely dress your child and sit him down and ONLY THEN do you realize he has both legs in one pant leg.

YOU'VE BEEN CAUGHT! You paper-eater-aholic. He was hiding over by the laundry trying to eat my brown bag. He could live off of the amount of paper he eats. I might try some...maybe it's a good weight loss program.

More Perry Fun, A New Band & Another Lost Tooth...

Ty came out of the room hopping, with both legs in one pajama leg. He informed us that he was a rabbit. Of course then Hud and Lain had to follow, since he got a laugh.
We now have a new use for the Bumbo seat. Ty is using it as a hat. Oops, looks like he might have had a little leakage below.
AND NOW INTRODUCING.... THE SILVER BOULDERS BAND! The kids made us come outside Saturday afternoon. They wanted us to listen to their new band and had been practicing for awhile. Hudson sang and played the drums (AKA, a broken baton and part of a race track for his drum stick. And a iron table and leap frog for his drum)...Sometimes you'd think these kids have NO toys with the things they come up with....

And Tyger on the microphone, AKA a bent golf club. Their performance was wonderful! Way to go Silver Boulders Band!

Wow, does this take me back...I also had a band with my friends waaaay back when....in Nowata, Oklahoma!

This was the night before. Here is yet another tooth, that was not even close to coming out and was practically knocked out of her mouth. Her and Hudson were jumping on the trampoline and Hud's hand whacked her. Cut her lip and look at her tooth just hanging there. UUGH!

BAD AUNT...

I have been a Bad Aunt for the month of January. I meant to post a Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my 2 beautiful little nieces. Ava Claire had her 1st B-Day and Jadey Girl had her 3rd B-Day. We had a wonderful time at Ava's Strawberry Shortcake Party and Jaden's Purple Party. I love you two little girly girls....you are getting soooo BIG! This little Ava is just such a petite thing. She is just starting to walk and looks way too little to be walking. So cute!
