Nurse Rhonda is in the House.....

Can't seem to find time or energy to update lately. Things are busy around here. Nana got pneumonia 2 weeks ago. What we thought would be an over night stay in the hospital turned into 1 week. She is now staying with us for 7 days for in- home nursing care. She will be done with her antibiotic IV treatments on Saturday. Just put some scrubs on me and call me Nurse Rhonda. OOOH, might not be a good idea for Sean to read this post, he might like the Nurse Rhonda title. Sorry...TMI! Any hoot, Sean has been traveling so much that my mom came in last Wednesday through Monday to help me out. She certainly was helpful. When we came home from the hospital she had a huge dinner of potato casserole, meatloaf, corn, jello salad and the most delicious pecan sticky buns you have ever tasted! You could say that was more than a few steps up from hospital food. UGH! Sean had a food show all last week and was gone from sun up to way after sun down and then on Friday he had a food show in L.A. until Monday night. He was home for 1 day and was back on a plane early this morning. Whew! Worn OUT! Okay this post has turned into a schedule of our last 2 weeks. Sorry for the boring writing and to top it off I have no pictures. Hope you all have a great week.

Watch out Mary Lou Retton, HERE I COME...

Here's my little Lainey doing her thing on the balance beam. This paper came out last Friday, which is also the day she missed school. When she returned on Monday her teacher had this posted in the class, a very proud moment for her. Hudson was so proud, he told practically the whole school on Friday. She thinks she is famous now. Daddy is very busy keeping the paparazzi under control....

First day of the 3rd and 2nd grade.....

Okay, so my 2 little babies (that are 7 and 8) finished their first day of school yesterday. They both had a great day. Lainey said her stomach hurt on and off all day and all last night she complained of a tummy ache. She hasn't eaten very well the last few day, so I'm not sure whether it's nerves or what. Well, today she got all ready for school (crying through the entire process), got in the car so daddy could take them and he returns with guess who? LAINEY....Those tears actually worked really well on him. She has not eaten today and it's 1:30 and I really do think she might have a little bug. Oh well, the first full week is next week and I expect a full recovery over the weekend. We've taken this same pic every year since Hud started kindergarten. I'll have to go through my old pics later and do a side by side comparison. Oh I know you all are on the edge of your seat!
Lainey had a little forced smile here.
Super tough guy here acts like I'm not even standing right in front of him.
My BAAAABY!

Doesn't he just look like a smart little chap?

This is Hudson on the Very 1st day of school sitting on his throne, outside the nurse's office waiting for me to bring his excema cream. Oh my!
Not all of you know this, but my kids are actually the KING and QUEEN of the nurse's office. It's quite a title to have. Here's what you have to do to earn the title.
1. Go to the nurse approximately 4-5 times per week.
2. When mommy returns the nurses phone calls, my name does not come up on her caller ID, only my # and she answers the phone "hey Rhonda".
3. You actually escort other children to the nurse's office that have never been, because you go on a daily basis.
4. During the hours of 7:45am to 2:45pm, I can almost just answer the phone at my house by saying "hello Kristi" (the nurse).
5. Problems you have to go to the nurse are:
itching excema (Hudson)
itching bug bite (Lainey)
my eyes itch (Lainey)
my tummy hurts (Lainey)
I have a headache (Hud and Lainey)
my tooth fell out (Hud and Lainey)
and the list goes on.....
Gotta' love the school nurse for patience! Gotta' love the kids for being kids!

Puffy red-eyed Lains...

I can't remeber if this look says "please don't go" or "please stop taking pictures".
I was making sounds like I would make to get Ben to laugh. Hey maybe it was a little embarrassing, but look at that smile.
Still smiling...
You're leaving?!@#* :()
Oh yes, before I forget, my little Lainey Lu Lu had her picture in the West Valley newspaper today. I do not have our scanner hooked up, but I will try to get it scanned and on the blog. Her gymnastics place is having a fundraiser on Saturday. So the photographer came to class on Tuesday and took pics to post about the event. She was doing her thing up on the balance beam. So cute!

Grandma's Peach Cobbler is YUUUUUMMMMY....

This is the way spoiling grandma's let spoiled babies eat homeade peach cobbler...and spoiling grandma laughs at this ridiculous display in the process...

Yummy grandma. You sure know how to make a mean peach cobbler...
This might even be better than my precious yogurt here....
Oh yeah grams...I think this is as funny as you do...
Well, I ate half of it, so I'll save the other half for later. I love you grams.

I have so many pics, but I can't find my camera cord. UGH... The kids started school today. They have been so excited to start for 2 weeks. Well the day finally arrived and little Miss Lainey was sick. She was in the ladies room for half the morning complaining that she was going to throw up. ARG! I'm pretty sure this was just major nervousness. I made her go with us to drop off Hudson and got her to stay. I hung around until after morning announcements and turned to leave only to see her silently dripping huge alligator tears from those pretty blue eyes. Let me tell you, I thought tears from mommy's were suppose to end after taking them to kindergarten, but I definitely had to choke back my own tears. Thank goodness for huge Paris Hilton sunglasses. I know her nervous feelings, because I get nervous about everything and you couldn't PAY me to even take one class. I would probably faint. Yes, very dramatic, but true. Hudson did pefectly fine. Poor guy wanted his hair to be a little bit longer on the top when school started. But last week mommy got a little crazy with the razor and I didn't blend it right and well, you know, I ended up having to cut it all super short. He's so embarrassed to have short hair. So the first friend he sees, says "hi" to him and he say's back "see what my mom did to my hair". Kids are so funny. Like anyone else cares. Of course, I have to take pics of my babies as they sit at their desks and Hud wouldn't even act like I was in the room. He always tell me, "mom, your little babies are growin' up". So true! He's already in the 3rd grade. Time sure does fly when you're busy living. Love to all! R
