More Christmas crafting...

I had this grand idea to make blocks for my nieces and nephews. I cut over 100 blocks and got burnt out after making the first set. I have Ryland's done except for the photo side, which is the easy part. It's fun, beacause it's also a puzzle of her.

Cooking with the kids...

This was a fun and easy project to do with the kids. I got the recipe from here http://sitsgirlsrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/09/somewhere-over-rainbow-by-little-momma.html

It's kind of like sugar cookie dough except it has a little cream cheese in it. Not near as good as sugar cookies, but more fun to roll out.

Gel food coloring really makes it look like playdough.

A Couple of Christmas Projects....

Nana loves when I make rag quilts, so I made her a little rag tote and got 3 of her Christian Romance novels to stick inside. Fun little project....
On Lain's Christmas list was a new quilt from mommy. I wasn't going to get to it, but with the left over squares I cut for nana's tote it was easy enough to put together. I think she'll like it.

More crafting today.

Ty 7th Birthday! (crying)

I had to write a letter about Ty a couple of weeks ago. He was student of the week and his teacher wanted a letter from mommy about Ty. So....
Ty Warner is my sweet little guy. From the day he was born, we thought he looked like a football player. He was a big baby at 8lbs 11 oz. Ty is very silly and loves to make people laugh. My favorite thing that he does is when he sings in the car with songs on the radio. He does some pretty good dancing too! Ty's daddy loves to take him fishing. I love to watch him fish, because he is so patient and knows how to do everything on his own, like tying the hook and baiting it too. This is his first year playing football. I can't wait to watch him play every Saturday. He is great at scoring those touchdowns! He is as good as I always knew he would be. I love, love, love his sweet little face, which makes me smile every time I look at it. He is my absolute favorite
6 year old on this planet! I can't wait to see what a wonderful person he will be when he grows up. For now though I will just enjoy him as my little boy.
I love you Ty- Mommy

I guess I've abandon my blog....

This is Ben demonstrating his best AAAARG!
He was a spider until the day before Halloween and was NOT happy about it. He wanted to be a pirate like Hudson and Lainey. I even tried letting him wear the eye patch with his spider costume. I ended up taking it back the day before Halloween and put together this last minute pirate outfit. He was happy:)

My gymnastican (Lain made up that word) /punk/pirate!

This pirate could use a major manicure!

Tyger Mummy

Unhappy Pirate...He was all happy about his costume until I put the eyeliner on. He thought his friends would make fun of him. You know eyeliner is for girls, even though captain Jack Sparrow sure wore alot of it. He ended up wearing his patch on the eyeliner eye and was happy.

Random pics and last day of school...

A couple known facts about Ben.
*he only wears underwear about 98% of the time
*they are always on backwards and usually inside out
*he has cute butt cheeks
Lain at school with best bud, Idalis and Ben.

Hudson with his end of year pic by the tree. I took his stitches out on Sunday. He healed like a trooper and has a nice scar to show...and oh yeah, I got new knobs.

Ty got the Friendship award for always being friends with everyone and never leaving anyone out. Nice job Tyger! I'm proud of you.

He just finished a season a b-ball and did awesome. He was so happy to get his first trophy.

Congratulations to my babies "moving up" to a new grade! Today was their last day of school. I'm ready for summer fun, not so much summer heat. We celebrated their day by going to see Night At The Museum. Sean celebrated by leaving to go to cool San Diego for a few days and get some fishing done. I now have a 5th, 4th and 2nd grader. Ugh...I can't believe they are that big already. Sniff:(

YES... I literally woke up....

[THE CULPRIT]
from a dead sleep to Sean saying, in a very soft, wake you up, mellow voice "Rhonda, you're going to have to get up. Hudson needs to go to the hospital and I have a meeting to go to." Well I am the crazy, POP out of bed kind of waker upper. "What, what is going on?" He tells me Hud cut his leg and is bleeding everywhere and when I get to the living room 1.1 second later, my poor baby is sitting on the couch, pastey white and is nauseous. Sean gets him a trash can, he throws up. Lainey stumbles out of bed (this is 6:50am might I add), sees all the blood and Hud vomiting. Well, she'll never be my Doctor of the family, because just seeing that sends her to the toilet to vomit. Now, she is pastey white. Sean leaves for the meeting, takes Ty to school, I call gram to watch Ben & sympathy sick Lainey and we hit the Urgent Care. Whew!

6 stitches and a pair of crutches later, Humpty Dumpty is put back together again.

Sean had an early morning meeting. The kids and I usually get up at about 7:00 to get ready for school. Apparently Hudson heard Sean up and decided to get up early and get ready before we all got up. He went to the laundry room and picked up a basket of clean clothes (YES, he did have clothes in his drawer, just not what he wanted...I DO LAUNDRY!). Well he was walking and bumped into this buffet that has, strike that, HAD crystal knobs on it and totally just ripped his poor little unsuspecting knee across the knob, it broke off and left this huge shard of glass that sliced the dickens out of his knee! The good news....Hudson's knee is great. The bad news...I just repainted that buffet and added the crystal knobs that I bought a couple years ago at a close-out. OH, FOR THE LOVE OF CRYSTAL KNOBS, THAT MAKE EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE LOOK FANTASTIC. I'll miss you knob, but I'm glad you're okay Hud:)

Well, I think I've made this post as dramatic as humanly possible...

here are the yummy pics....

Lainey Jean turns NINE...

Her first day of kinder...
I had a bunch of old pics scanned into my computer, because Lain just had a timeline of her life due at school. So these are just some old pic we put in her timeline. I haven't done this for the other kids on my blog, so now I feel like I'm playing favorites, but PULEEEEASE, everyone knows moms don't have favorites. Now I have to get busy and dig up old pics of my other kids....feeling guilty:)

Look at my sweet babes!

Looks like Hudson had a little jealousy and Libby is just like "can we go now"

Oh my gosh, no one will ever know how much work and mothering this child does. She is like Ben's second mom. Wait she is everyone's second mom, including me and Sean! Sometimes she treats Ben like he's 3 months instead of 3 years and you can see he sucks it all in

This is at one of Hud's football games.(before the haircut obviously, ugh)
I can't remember if I've already posted some of these. But this is from a few months ago, when she had 4 teeth pulled out. The orthodontist wanted to make a little more space in that tiny mouth. She had to be put in a twilight sleep and was quite the silly drunk...

She and her best friend, Idalis had a "crystal light stand" and made $16. Pretty good for an hour's work.

Today, I will take cookies to her class. Then she is having a couple friends over for makeovers (mani's, pedi's and such:), then her dinner of choice is crab legs, twice baked potatoes, and Cesear salad with croutons! Her cake is strawberry with vanilla frosting and strawberries on top! She isn't specific or anything. QUEEN for a day!
Sweet Lainey girl, you are the one.
Who makes our lives so much fun.
Why are you growing so fast?
I want my baby girl days to last.
Always know, I love you so;
to the highest heights and the depths below.
Love- Mommy

Hud's 10th B-Day...

Easter 09
Spring 09 school photo

For Hudson's 10th birthday we went all out and put cupcakes on top of a cooler! Seriously folks, we're going for real hillbilly style here:)

Checking out the Axe cologne from Uncle Jon, who was explaining that this would draw the girls to him....whatever:)

He shared cupcakes with his class. His teacher does a really neat thing and has everyone sit in a circle on the floor and Hud sits in a chair. They go around the circle and give Hud compliments. It was so sweet! The little girl gazing at him across his desk was so cute and funny. She got really shy and said " there is just so many things, I can put it into words!" I almost fell off my chair. I think she may have a small crush. Back away now girl, mama don't wanna fight a 10 year old. No, really I thought it was so sweet.

His actual birthday fell on a school night. So he got to pick what he wanted for dinner. Spaghetti was the choice. Out of everything he could choose from, he picked SPAGHETTI! What a nice boy to pick such an easy meal. Then on Sunday afternoon, he had some friends come to the skating rink for a couple of hours ( i still have the bruise to prove i skated and fell while racing Hudson. i think sometimes i forget i'm 33) and then had family and friends over for bbq. He had a great day.

You will always be the first for me.
I loved you at first sight you see.
To this day you are my baby boy.
And forever will remain my constant joy.

I love you Hudson Andy Perry,
Mom
