One more thing to add to my "Things kids say" list...

We always take nana out to dinner for crab legs for her birthday. As Lainey was trying to open one of her crab legs she said "mom I can't open up this crab and get my chicken out." For some reason I laugh the same as if I've just heard it for the first time, each time I tell the story. Sean says I laugh too much at my own kids. I can't help it...they're funny!

The things kids say...

Veggin' out in front of the T.V. after school.
Um, are you about to fly away with that hairdo?
Also veggin'
I pulled out Lainey's school work from her bag and came across a cute little picture of our house that she drew and a story she had written underneath it:

My house is yelloy and I grow tomatow's. I would won't to live in a aparment at lastveges.

I love when the kids make mistakes when talking and I hardly ever correct them, because I think it's so cute. Someday when she's like 25 or something I'll tell her what the correct words are if she hasn't figured it out yet.:)

In March we are hopefully going to Hawaii with the whole fam. Hudson was very unsure about this idea, since we will be flying over the ocean. He watched a show with us that showed a plane crashing into the ocean, which is why he's scared. Anyhow, last night he came up to me and asked, "mom, when we go to Hawaii do we have to fly over the Pacific Ocean and through the Batitika Triangle". Sean and I got a laugh and assured him we wouldn't be getting sucked into the Bermuda Triangle anytime soon.

Finally SO OVER Sickness...for now..........

Oh I am so happy that everyone is finally feeling better. We had a rough week, when everyone got pink eye (of course when one gets it, they all do), Hud and Lain both had an ear infection in one ear and Ben in both ears. But I am happy to report we are all feeling better here at home. Poor daddy though...he's in Laguna Beach all week and got a horrible cold on Monday. We Miss you daddy and can't wait for you to get home tomorrow. Cheese Mommy!
Little Lainey posing with our first cherry tomato...unfortunately our yummy vegetables didn't make it through the freeze the next night. Of course this was the coldest it's been here in the freakin' desert in 16 years! And we had at least 100 tomatoes and lots of squash and green beans....boo hoo! Guess I'll continue to buy them at a place known as the GROCERY STORE.
Really- where on earth did this hair come from? He started getting a little wave on the top and then he has just sprouted this curly hairdo. I love it! It actually is getting course in the back. He must have taken after his Uncle Jonathan.
You like my hair mommy? I love it
little Benj.

12 o'clock Midnight....The New Year!

I've been recovering from a busy Christmas season and beginning of the New Year. I posted some pics of New Year's. I actually did not take one picture on Christmas Day. Bad mommy! But, I was really busy and I did get video. In the morning, we opened presents with the kids and then got busy preparing lunch. Jeremy, Kandi and the kids came over and we had a wonderful day! Benjamin was not really feeling well all day and about 8pm that night Lainey came into the living room and projectile vomited for 30 seconds. Thank goodness for Sean (he cleaned it up), as I am NOT good at dealing with throw-up. My stomach has gotten quite weak since I've had kids. Anyhow, the next morning we awoke to hearing what we thought was Lainey again, but was actually Hudson. Luckily this was just a 24 hr. flu. In the middle of all this poor baby Ben had gotten very sick and couldn't keep anything in his system. He was really sick for about a week. Somehow, through all of this we had a great Christmas break with the kids. We weren't doomed to being by ourselves without having people over, because we had also given our sickness to Jeremy and family. So we had each other over and were sick together and had lots of fun hanging out and watching movies. Everyone was feeling better until this Sunday. Ben got a horrible cold and has been miserable and both he a Ty woke up with Pink Eye this morning. When it Rains it Pours around here.
THIS IS WHAT WE WERE DOING THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT... I was getting kisses from 2 of my babies...
Ben woke up cranky, not feeling well...poor baby...
Hudson was watching the ball drop on TV, looking sleepy...

Sean's Family Christmas Eve...

Oh no, what have we done...Lori is going to be major BULK shopping at COSTCO now...Sorry Paul.

Thanks mom, for the new jacket.

Sean's brother, Nick and his wife Taunya have been married for a year now and have their first little bundle due in April. Little Einsteins CD will get him started taking after his musical mommy.

Thanks grandma and Paul for my own little can of Princess popcorn. Tyger you look so sweet in this pic. I love you both. Hudson you will always be my little baby boy. I love you too!
Um, this blow up sword thing tastes pretty good if you ask me.
Okay, for anyone who does Not have this TMX Elmo, you HAVE to get one. Lori scored before Christmas and got this for Ben. It was hard to get one before Christmas but I'm sure they are more available now. This thing is hilarious. We have loved this Elmo and I think I've actually played with it more than Ben, but he does love it. Look at his face!
Oh, and they've equipped you with extra tasty eyeballs Elmo. YUM!
What to do, what to do#$%^:)
Jammies, Jammies, Jammies...I love Jammies. CHEESE!

and once again, more Christmas

Jon and Danielle and Sean and I got mom a Fender guitar. She's wanting to teach herself to play. She's Little Miss Musical, so I'm sure she'll catch right on.
The grandkids all helping to open grandpa's presents.
What's so hilarious Kandi? Are you thinking about gettin' your jig on with your Dance Dance Revolution?
Thank you grandma, just what I needed make-up, and polish. Love it!
Okay, Danielle is going to kill me for posting this, but I had to. #1 it's the only pic I had of her and she had to be on my post, #2 she does the funniest little dance that I can't even explain, you just have to see it and so I can just picture her on this Dance Revolution game, so funny (hopefully I will have future pics of that) #3 Jaden is in the background looking like she is just telling everyone what to do, and most likely she is. Oh, I hope one day to post a video of Jaden taking charge...it is hilarious!

Christmas Eve Eve...

Well, we had days of Christmas FUN. On Christmas Eve Eve, Kandi and Jeremy had all of us (our family, Jon and Danielle and kids, Mom and Ernie, and his kids, and a friend of ours, Dave) over for a beautiful dinner. They served us and everything. It was really nice. Afterwards we exchanged gifts with one another. It's so much fun watching people open gifts. I love it. I didn't even get all the pics I wanted to post, because #1 my camera is constantly NOT focusing, so my pics are blurry and #2 this thing won't let my post anymore right now. Anyhow, we had a really great time, ate way too much and even got out some old family videos to see how much the kids have grown...and boy have they. Christmas fun to be continued with family #2 on Christmas Eve.... Hudson got a pet from Libby, Colt and Ava.... oh what is it???
Jonathan with his new Cowboys hat
Sean in his new Rams hat...wearing it like he's back in high school.
Mom got all the boys those little b-ball hoops that you hang over the door, and then they discovered Phoenix Suns tickets inside. They are all going on January 9 and very excited!
Yes, a remote control pet tarantula!

More Christmas Eve Eve...

Tyger was so excited about this remote control bulldozer from Libby, Colt and Ava. Thank you guys!
Nephew Ryland, enjoying the paper of course, more than the gifts. We should really save money and just wrap boxes with more paper inside.
Oh just what I needed, a giggle and shake Elmo ball and a baby Leap Frog. Yes!
My niece Jaden...pretty smile Jady Girl.
I'm going to open this gift one bite at a time.
This was the Dec. 23rd. I was baking, getting ready for all the parties. I put Ben in his chair and just kept feeding him scraps. Like a little puppy...he really enjoyed this beater with powdered sugar and cream cheese on it. YUM!
Oh grandma, this sure is a big gift!
Libby Libby Lou!
